A canal house we live above, and two apartments we look after ourselves.
No front desk, no lockbox in a doorway, no agency in between. We hand over the keys, we answer the phone, and we are ten minutes away if the boiler decides otherwise.
Booking here rather than through a listing site costs you less and costs us less, which is the whole reason we do it.
The upper apartment
Fully renovated in 2025 and left alone since: white walls, herringbone oak, black steel windows that open onto the water. The living room takes the afternoon light; the bedroom faces the courtyard and is quiet enough to sleep through a Saturday night in the centre.
A proper kitchen — oven, induction, dishwasher — because a week of eating out is a week of eating out. Two flights of stairs, Dutch ones, and no lift.

Where you are
The old centre, a few minutes' walk from Nieuwmarkt and the station. Everything you came for is on foot; nothing you came for needs a taxi.
Arriving
Tell us roughly when and we will be there. Bags can be left earlier in the day and picked up later if your flight is unhelpful.
Cancelling
Free up to fourteen days before you arrive. Inside that, we will do what we can — it is usually more than a booking site would.
